Why use animoto in the classroom?

Why use Jing in the Classroom?

How do I get Jing?

Blog Notes:

Animoto:
Allows you to take images and presentations (ppt, keynote) and transition them into a multimedia video with music and animation.
Great for creating an intro "bell ringer" for a class or unit.
Helps excite/motivate students.

30 second clips are free
For more than 30 seconds, you can pay $3 per clip, or $30 for an entire year subscription (unlimited)
Do you want a free month subsciption? Sign up using this code: tehpqrxy.

Free accounts do not give you the ability to download the video, only share it via email, or on your wiki or website. When you purchase the yearly membership, you can then create the video and then download and save it locally.

You can create a library of clips and then choose to share them whenever you want in whatever way you want.

Jing:

Allows you to capture (make a video recording) anything that you do on your desktop.

Training videos, record your lecture as you do it on your interactive white board, "rip" video from web sites to save current news events.
